Impact windows in Loxahatchee Groves, FL

Loxahatchee Groves now runs its own permits instead of sending them to the county, and homes in a flood zone get floodplain review. We install Florida Product Approval impact windows and doors on rural homes across the town.

How Loxahatchee Groves permits work

Loxahatchee Groves incorporated in 2006 as Palm Beach County's 38th municipality to protect its rural, large-lot character. Building permits are now processed entirely by the town, through its MGO portal, rather than by the county. The Town Building Official and permit staff work from 155 F Road. Because the town is built along roughly 30 miles of canals, FEMA flood zones are present, and the town's permit FAQ says every building in a FEMA flood zone is subject to floodplain development analysis. That matters most when we replace exterior doors.

FAQ

Loxahatchee Groves questions

Local permitting, HOA rules, and the right ratings, we handle it all.

Call (954) 884-8224
Is Loxahatchee Groves in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone?

No. The HVHZ covers only Broward and Miami-Dade. Loxahatchee Groves is in Palm Beach County's wind-borne debris region, so every window and door needs Florida Product Approval or a Miami-Dade NOA. The county wind map puts Loxahatchee Groves between the 160 and 170 mph lines, and we design to 170.

Does Palm Beach County still issue my permit?

No. Loxahatchee Groves now processes building permits entirely through the town's MGO portal. We file it there. Permit fees are separate.

My lot is in a flood zone. Does that matter?

Yes. The town says all buildings in a FEMA flood zone are subject to floodplain development analysis. We check your zone before quoting doors.

Will impact windows help my insurance?

Impact windows and doors may qualify for wind-mitigation credits. We provide the approvals and permit records.
